SPEAK LIFE OR STAY STUCK
Get Up, Sister: You Are Not Behind
If you’re feeling unmotivated, undisciplined, or behind in life…
If you keep wondering why it seems so easy for everyone else…
If you feel like you should be further along by now…
This message is for you.
And let me say this clearly from the start:
This is not meant to discourage you.
This is meant to lift you up.
Because it is okay to fall down — but as your sister in Christ, I won’t let you stay there.
God has so much more for you than what you are currently settling for in your mind.
You Become What You Think About
Whether you realize it or not, your thoughts are shaping your future.
Not your goals.
Not your wish list.
Not the things you save on Instagram.
Your thoughts.
Scripture tells us to “take every thought captive” (2 Corinthians 10:5). That isn’t poetic language — it’s a command. Why? Because thoughts become beliefs. Beliefs become actions. Actions become habits. And habits become a life.
So when your inner dialogue sounds like this:
“I’m behind.”
“I’ll never be disciplined.”
“I always mess this up.”
“What’s the point?”
That isn’t neutral thinking.
That is spiritual warfare happening in your mind.
And if you don’t interrupt it, it will quietly shape everything you do.
PHYSICAL & SPIRITUAL WORLD
Let’s be honest. Some of what you’re carrying is physical.
Hormones.
Exhaustion.
Stress.
Grief.
Real life.
We live in bodies, in time, in a broken world. So no — not everything is spiritual warfare.
But not everything is just physical either.
There is a spiritual layer to what you are experiencing. And ignoring it is why so many women feel stuck no matter how much they “try.”
The Armor of God Is Not Optional
If you are a woman pursuing growth — mentally, physically, emotionally, or spiritually — the Armor of God is not optional. It is survival gear. Read Ephesians 6.
The enemy doesn’t need to destroy your life.
He only needs to wear you down in your thoughts.
He will whisper that you’re behind.
Convince you it’s too late.
Turn conviction into shame.
Turn rest into laziness.
Turn grace into permission to stay stuck.
If you fight spiritual battles with willpower alone, you will lose every time.
Control the Controllable — And Arm Yourself Spiritually
This is the balance that changes everything.
Control what you can:
Your food
Your movement
Your sleep
Your routines
Your environment
But also arm yourself spiritually:
Prayer
Scripture
Gratitude
Presence
Speaking life
You cannot out-train or out-discipline a mind that is constantly under attack and never defended.
You Have to Speak Life
Here’s the truth:
You must make a habit of speaking life over yourself.
Not when you feel motivated.
Not when circumstances change.
Not when everything is going right.
Daily.
Out loud if you have to.
Because if you don’t speak truth, something else will speak lies.
And here’s what’s wild — most women pray eventually, but not daily. Watch how your life CHANGES when prayer becomes a daily habit.
Not long prayers.
Not perfect prayers.
Just honest ones:
“God, help me today.”
“God, guard my mind.”
“God, thank You for what I have.”
Gratitude and Presence Are Weapons
How grateful can you be today — not when things change, not when you hit a goal — but right now?
How present can you be today?
Gratitude and presence are not personality traits.
They are spiritual disciplines.
The enemy cannot thrive in a heart that is thankful and fully present.
You Are Not Behind
Hear this clearly:
You are not late.
You are not failing.
You are not missing your chance.
You are exactly where God has you — and He wastes nothing.
But being where you are meant to be does not mean staying where you are comfortable.
So get up — not in shame, but in truth.
Steward What God Has Given You
Your body is a gift.
Your mind is a gift.
Your time is a gift.
Grace is not permission to neglect what God entrusted to you.
Grace is power to rise.
Conviction vs. Condemnation
There are two kinds of shame.
One is conviction from God.
It says, “This isn’t who you are. Let’s grow.”
It leads you forward.
The other is condemnation from the enemy.
It says, “See? You’ll never change.”
It keeps you stuck.
God will never shame you into staying stuck — but He will lovingly call you higher.
Final Word
Sister — if you’re tired, discouraged, or worn down…
Get up.
Not because you’re behind —
But because you are called.
God is not done with you. And you were never meant to do this alone.
